DOWEL BARS
DESCRIPTION
The dowel bars are round pieces of hot-rolled steel having required diameter and length. For half of their length are covered with a plastic sheath and locked at one end by a plastic plug.
COMPOSITION
The barrotti are composed of a piece of round steel laminate (generally S275) covered for half of their length by a plastic tube which at the end is also closed by a plastic cap.
USE
The dowel bars are disposable elements that are positioned straddling the concrete plates so as to guarantee the sharing of the loads between the plates and the relative movement along the axis of the bars.

THE BIRTH
The dowel bars have always been used in the construction of floors in which the casting plates work simultaneously when they are subjected to loads, probably the first product ever to be used for this purpose.
